MONIN Amaretto syrup is based on the classic Italian sweet, almond-flavoured liqueur.
Characterised by the distinctive flavour of the ‘mandoria-amara’ or bitter almond, the name Amaretto means ‘a little bitter’ in Italian.
Its origins are said to go back as far as the Italian Renaissance. Legend has it that in 1525 the artist Bernardino Luini, a pupil of Leonardo Da Vinci, was commissioned to paint a fresco of the Madonna of the Miracles in Saronno. He chose a beautiful local innkeeper to inspire his portrayal of the Madonna. As a gift to show her gratitude and affection, she steeped apricot kernels in brandy and presented the resulting amber liquid to Luini. Today, Amaretto is usually made using apricot pits and may also contain almonds, other spices and flavourings.
Developed as one of the ‘virgin flavour’ range, MONIN Irish syrup has a flavour profile which is similar to Irish cream, a cream liqueur based on whiskey, cream and coffee, for use in non-alcoholic after-dinner drinks
MONIN Strawberry syrup is an easy to mix syrup which allows you to create many applications. It fits perfectly with MONIN Frosted Mint or Mojito Mint flavour. Try a Strawberry Mojito and you’ll be amazed by the balance of both flavours.
The warmth of maple syrup and hints of ginger spice in any of your favorite beverages. Our Maple Spice Syrup brings aromatic breakfast sweetness to lattes, cappuccinos, baked treats and craft cocktails.
MONIN Vanilla syrup is a great complement of nut flavours in latte applications. It also fits perfectly in a tea preparation in addition to berry flavours. I like it very much in after dinner drinks built straight in a glass filled with dark rum or brandy.
The tropical flavor of rich, creamy coconut makes it hard not to wish your toes were somewhere in the sand. Take a staycation instead and use our Coconut Fruit Purée to add lightly sweetened authentic coconut taste and texture to smoothies, milkshakes, or cocktails, until you can actually make it to the beach.
