The ORIGINAL KORIKO® Replacement Coil [Cocktail KINGDOM] is a replacement part designed for the coils used on Cocktail Kingdom KORIKO® strainers.

If the original coil becomes worn, deformed, damaged or lost, it can be replaced separately without replacing the complete cocktail strainer, provided that the strainer body remains in good condition.

The coil is made from 18/8 stainless steel and is an original Cocktail Kingdom replacement part designed for the specific KORIKO® construction.

Original KORIKO® replacement part

This is not a universal coil selected simply by size or visual similarity. It is an original Cocktail Kingdom replacement coil.

It is primarily intended for the KORIKO® Cocktail Strainer family, one of Cocktail Kingdom's professional strainer ranges.

Using the correct replacement part is important because coil dimensions, tension and attachment can vary between different cocktail strainer models and manufacturers.

Compatible with KORIKO® Hawthorne Strainers

The coil can be used to replace the original coil on models from the KORIKO® Cocktail Strainer family, including versions with different finishes that use the same underlying KORIKO® construction.

Within our range, this is the appropriate replacement part for:

KORIKO® GunMETAL Black Hawthorne Strainer [Cocktail KINGDOM]

This means that damage to the coil does not automatically require replacing the entire strainer.

Also compatible with the Cocktail Kingdom 2-Prong Cocktail Strainer

Cocktail Kingdom also officially specifies this replacement coil as compatible with its own 2-Prong Cocktail Strainer.

This should not, however, be interpreted as universal compatibility with every 2-prong strainer available on the market.

The number of support prongs is not a universal standard for coil dimensions or attachment.

A cocktail strainer from another manufacturer therefore does not automatically become compatible simply because it also has a 2-prong construction.

Is it compatible with every Hawthorne Strainer?

No. This product should not be considered a universal replacement coil for all Hawthorne Strainers.

Strainers manufactured by MEZCLAR, Urban Bar, THE BARS or other brands may use coils with different dimensions, tension and attachment systems.

Compatibility with these products must be checked individually. Without confirmed compatibility, we recommend using the coil only with the Cocktail Kingdom models specified for it.

When should you replace only the coil?

The coil is one of the components of a Hawthorne Strainer directly involved in straining a cocktail. During pouring, it helps retain ice and larger solid ingredients inside the shaker.

Replacing the coil can be useful when:

  • the original coil is visibly deformed;
  • it has stretched and no longer sits correctly on the strainer body;
  • it no longer maintains its proper shape;
  • the coil has been mechanically damaged;
  • the original coil has been lost.

If the rest of the KORIKO® strainer remains in good condition, replacing this component allows the tool to remain in service without purchasing a complete new strainer.

18/8 stainless steel for bar use

The KORIKO® replacement coil is made from 18/8 stainless steel, a material well suited to professional bar tools that regularly come into contact with water, ice, citrus and other cocktail ingredients.

The material provides good corrosion resistance and is suitable for repeated use under normal bar working conditions.

What does the coil on a Hawthorne Strainer do?

The coil follows the edge of the vessel and helps retain ice and larger solid ingredients while the cocktail is poured from the shaker.

The density of the coil can also restrict some smaller fragments, but a Hawthorne coil should not be confused with a Fine Strainer.

For cocktails containing pulp, small fruit fragments, herbs or other fine particles that require additional filtration, the Hawthorne Strainer can be combined with a Fine Strainer using the Double Strain technique.

Replacement coil or a new strainer?

If the problem is limited to the coil and the strainer body remains intact, replacing the coil can be sufficient.

If the metal body is also bent, damaged or can no longer be positioned correctly on the shaker, replacing the coil alone will not correct those problems.

The ability to replace the coil separately is particularly useful in professional HoReCa environments, where strainers may be used frequently and damage to one replaceable component does not necessarily mean replacing the complete bar tool.
